The Milwaukee Brewers continue to show no signs of slowing down, becoming the first National League team to win 60 games. With their 6-0 shutout of the Mariners on Monday night, the Brewers have now won four in a row since the All-Star break and 11 straight overall.
Not only did Milwaukee keep Home Run Derby champion Cal Raleigh in the ballpark, but Seattle failed to score in a game for the first time since June 25.
Starter Brandon Woodruff, who is now 2-0 in his three starts on the year, and two relievers held the Mariners' potent lineup to only five hits.
Woodruff gave up just two base runners in six innings while recording five strikeouts.
After a scoreless game through five, Milwaukee exploded for four runs in the sixth and then added two more in the eighth. The Brewers managed to score all six runs without a home run, granted they did enjoy three extra-base hits via doubles.

Jackson Chourio was the only Brewer to drive multiple runners home, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, including one off a double, and a run scored.

Christian Yelich also registered two hits in the game, finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI of his own. Yelich is now hitting .261 with 66 RBI in 94 games so far this season.
William Contreras and Isaac Collins sent the other runs home.
Despite their win streak and sitting at 60-40 overall, Milwaukee only holds a one-game lead over the Cubs in the National League Central. Chicago started its week by losing, 12-4, to Kansas City, but the narrow margin between the two teams shows at the top is why the Brewers can't afford to take their foot of the gas.
