NASCAR fans love to joke that rain looks up where NASCAR is racing on any given weekend, and while rain has flocked to a NASCAR racetrack this weekend, it's not a race that Mother Nature is affecting.
Instead, it's Saturday's MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol (Tennessee) Motor Speedway that is in a rain delay to begin the evening.
The game between the Reds (58-53) and Braves (46-63) was slated for a first pitch at 7:15 p.m. ET, but persistent rain has delayed the game for over an hour.

The game is the first Major League Baseball game to ever be played in the state of Tennessee and represents how versatile a venue Bristol Motor Speedway is. The game is expected to break the record for attendance for an MLB regular-season game.
Meanwhile, in Newton, Iowa, the site of NASCAR's race weekend at Iowa Speedway, the weather has been clear, with sunny skies expected for Sunday's Iowa Corn 350 (3:30 p.m. ET, USA Network).
NASCAR has yet to have to push a race to Monday due to rain this season, though the last two Cup Series events at Dover Motor Speedway (July 20) and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 27) have featured late-race red flags due to rain. The season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 16 and Pocono on June 22 both featured significant delays due to rain, but both races ran to completion on their scheduled date.
NASCAR will return to Bristol for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Sept. 13, which is an elimination race in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
