It's safe to say that Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy is not a fan of the way Dan Lanning and his staff have constructed the Oregon roster.
Gundy criticized Lanning while speaking on his radio show Monday ahead of the schools' first meeting since 2008 this Saturday.
"Oregon is paying a lot, a lot of money for their team," Gundy said. "From a nonconference standpoint, there's coaches saying they should [play teams with similar budgets]."
Gundy then drew attention to the reported $40 million Oregon has spent on its roster over the last three seasons, in contrast to the $7 million that Oklahoma State has spent.
Lanning fired back at Gundy during his weekly news conference on Monday, citing that Oregon spends money to win.
"If you want to be a top-10 team in college football, you better be invested in winning. We spend to win," Lanning responded. "Some people save to have an excuse for why they don't. ... I can't speak on their situation; I have no idea what they got in their pockets over there."

According to ESPNBET, Oregon is favored by a whopping -28.5 points. Given the back-and-forth between the two coaches this week, Lanning may want to keep his starters on the field longer to showcase his $40 million roster.
