Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy will never top his most famous press conference moment, but that will not stop him from trying.
The Cowboys will face off against No. 7 Oregon on Saturday, and in previewing the game, Gundy began discussing his Oklahoma State playing career. He discussed how difficult it was to suit up against Nebraska, and used some unlikely comparisons and visual aids.
“You know the movie ‘Christmas Story’? That’s how I came out,” Gundy said. “When we broke the huddle, Nebraska’s defensive line had their shirts high up, and I thought, ‘This is not good.'”

Gundy will always be remembered for his famous “I’m a man, I’m 40” rant back in 2007. He has not reached those heights since, but he still brings a lot of entertainment value to press conferences that can sometimes be pretty dry.
Gundy’s job was actually in question during the offseason, but he ultimately adjusted his contract to remain with the school. He is an Oklahoma State institution, as he boasts a 169-88 lifetime record and won 10 games as recently as 2023.
