The San Francisco 49ers went into Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks already shorthanded, and they added three more players to the injury list before their Week 2 contest against the New Orleans Saints.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the status of quarterback Brock Purdy is unknown after he suffered shoulder and toe injuries. Tight end George Kittle will miss multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury and WR Jauan Jennings needs a CT scan on his shoulder.

The 49ers believe Kittle will miss three to five weeks, which is a significant amount of time for the three-time Pro Bowler to miss. Kittle's injury set up Jake Tongues to be the unlikely hero in the team's 17-13 win over the Seahawks with his game-winning touchdown reception.
San Francisco was already without star receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is working his way back from a season-ending ACL injury in 2024.
The 49ers added veteran wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to the roster on Monday, helping give whoever is under center depth at the position.
The toe injury is concerning for the 49ers, as the offense needs a healthy Purdy to pilot San Francisco against the Saints in Week 2.
