To further establish himself as one of the most consistent flamethrowers in baseball, Milwaukee Brewers ace Freddy Peralta has reached a major milestone for the third straight year.
In the middle of his Monday night start against the San Diego Padres, Peralta surpassed 200 strikeouts for the season. By doing so, Peralta has now hit the 200 mark in three consecutive seasons.
Peralta finished his outing with six strikeouts after needing five to reach 200 prior to stepping on the mound. He got to 200 on the nose by logging 173.2 innings last season and then posted 210 — his single-season high — in 2023.

Including the six to get over 200, Peralta now has exactly 1,150 strikeouts in his career through eight seasons.
The 29-year-old, who has spent his entire career with the Brewers, is finishing off his best individual season of his career. Entering Monday's start, Peralta owned a 17-6 record with a 2.65 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP.
Before the 2025 season, Peralta's single-season high in wins was just 12 from 2023. He won 11 games last season.
But above all else, Peralta is hoping 2025 becomes a special year because of what's to come. Thanks to the contributions of Peralta, named an All-Star for the second time, the Brewers won the National League Central Division title and now hope to fully cash in on their magical summer with a deep run through October.
