The New York Giants have been on the quarterback carousel over the past two seasons. Second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers knows that all too well.
On Wednesday, Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed he's starting rookie QB Jaxson Dart for the rest of the season. New York went 0-3 with Russell Wilson as its starter.
Dart — pick No. 25 of the 2025 NFL Draft — will be the sixth QB Nabers has played with. New York played QBs Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, Tim Boyle and Tommy DeVito during his rookie season.
"Process is, I've got a job to do," Nabers told the media Wednesday. "My job is to run routes, catch the ball no matter who's throwing me the football. Like I said, the decision wasn't up to me. I've still got a job to do, go play football. ... They're going to find a way to get No. 1 the ball."

Dart, 22, indicated that he plans to do that. During his Wednesday news conference, the former Ole Miss star said he saw Nabers "cook his team in college." (The former LSU standout had eight receptions for 102 yards in a 55-49 loss to Ole Miss during his final collegiate season in 2023.)
Dart and Nabers also bonded during an intense pickup basketball game this summer. The pair continuing to develop chemistry benefits the Giants, who need the QB dysfunction to end.
Nabers may be happy in New York for now. But he doesn't want the Giants to keep cycling through QBs for the rest of his career.
A player of his caliber would have options if he wanted to go elsewhere. In 2024, he set the record for most receptions by a rookie WR (109 in 15 games). Through three games this season, he ranks fourth in the league in receiving yards (251) and is tied for 16th in receptions (16).
Nabers is a key piece for the rebuilding Giants, who haven't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. To keep him, they need Dart to be the only QB he plays with for a long time.
