Aces withstand resilient Fever in OT thriller to reach WNBA Finals

The Las Vegas Aces got everything they could handle from the resilient Indiana Fever on Tuesday night. When all was said and done, the Aces came away with a thrilling 107-98 win in overtime to take Game 5 and advance to their third WNBA Finals in the last four years.

Even against a Fever team that had been without its star Caitlin Clark for most of the season and lost guard Kelsey Mitchell to a left leg injury in the third quarter on Tuesday night, the Aces had to earn it in a hard-fought game that saw neither team lead by more than nine points.

Aces take advantage of 21 Fever turnovers

While both teams shot well, Las Vegas' inability to rebound all night nearly cost it, losing the rebounding edge, 40-21. Despite that, 21 Fever turnovers and 31 points off those giveaways proved to be a major difference maker in the game.

That ferocious defense was on full display early in the third quarter when the Aces converted a steal into a Jackie Young and-one on the other end.
