NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Elliott is preparing for a crucial NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval on Sunday, but the 2020 Cup Series champion got to participate in an unplanned special event on Friday.
During Hendrick Motorsports' "Fan Day" on Friday, Elliott was approached by a pair of fans who wanted NASCAR's most popular driver to help them reveal the gender of their baby.
These two came out to fan day and asked me to do their gender reveal. That was a first Congrats you two! pic.twitter.com/wZC7WxjS7J

Elliott obliged, creating an unforgettable moment for both the soon-to-be parents and Elliott himself.
"I hope you're wanting a boy, because he's on the way," Elliott told the fans in a video posted to social media. "I've never done that."
Elliott then signed a hat in blue ink for the couple.
The unexpected fan interaction caps a wild week for Elliott on the heels of his playoff victory at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 28.
Elliott's win, which came after Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace made contact on the final lap, locked him into the penultimate round of the postseason, which will make this weekend relatively stress-free for the No. 9 team.
Elliott won't have to worry about points on Sunday and can go for his third win at the Charlotte Roval - all while knowing that, regardless of his result on Sunday afternoon, he certainly made the weekend for a couple of fans.
