How didn't Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones catch Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence on "Monday Night Football?"
With 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Lawrence fell after guard Patrick Mekari stepped on his foot. Despite that, the QB gathered himself and scrambled to his left for a one-yard touchdown, sealing Jacksonville's 31-28 home win.
Watch it again and keep a close eye on Jones, No. 95. Was he giving 100 percent on that play?
After Lawrence fell, Jacksonville's offensive line moved away from Jones. When the QB got back on his feet, Jones didn't move much, taking one small step. He then trodded along while watching the QB dive into the end zone.

In a postgame news conference, Jones wasn't questioned about his effort on the key play. However, he said the team needs to do a better job of closing out games.
"I thought multiple times we had [Lawrence]," Jones said. "We just got to finish. We've got to finish. We got multiple guys there; we just got to finish that play. It was a fluke play for him to be able to break that many tackles. But yeah, I put it on us as a defense. We've got to finish. You know, we've got to bring him down on that."
At least, Jones said the defense must take accountability for the Chiefs' third one-possession loss this season. Still, it's surprising the DT didn't try to chase down Lawrence.
Perhaps the 31-year-old has been playing too many snaps. Pro Football Focus credits him with 249 snaps through five games. That's slightly more than he played through his first five games last season (245).
The increased workload could be taxing Jones — who has one sack this season — but he may have to get used to it. The Chiefs need the six-time Pro Bowler to step up to help overcome their defensive problems. They're tied for 13th in the league in points allowed (21.4) and rank 13th in yards allowed (314 YPG) through five weeks.
If Jones can't do that, the 2-3 Chiefs may continue to spiral in their Week 6 home game against the 4-1 Detroit Lions on "Sunday Night Football" at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
