The Jacksonville Jaguars stunned the Kansas City Chiefs at home, 31-28, on "Monday Night Football" to cap Week 5. Here's our instant reaction:
The Jaguars have arrived. Jacksonville followed last weekend's road win at the San Francisco 49ers with an even larger statement by defeating the three-time defending AFC-champion Chiefs.
Perhaps most impressive about the victory, the Jaguars had several opportunities to live down to their reputation but rose to the occasion instead.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a goal-line fumble early in the second quarter on a fourth down when he had the ball jarred loose from his possession while attempting to leap over the line of scrimmage, and the Chiefs converted the turnover into a touchdown, resulting in a 14-point swing.

On Jacksonville's winning touchdown play, Lawrence stumbled after taking the snap under center and fell, but he got up, scrambled and scored.

"Just panic. Sheer panic," Lawrence told ESPN's Laura Rutledge after the game when asked what was going through his head in that moment. Rather than show it, he authored one of the most memorable wins of his five-year career.
At 4-1, the Jaguars are tied with six other teams for the NFL's best record, including two in the AFC (Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts), while already matching last season's win total.
"Just keep doing what we're doing ... Our process is working," Lawrence added in his post-game on-field interview. It's time to believe.
Lloyd followed being named AFC Defensive Player of the Month with one of the best defensive plays in franchise history, returning a Patrick Mahomes interception at the Jaguars goal line for a touchdown, giving Jacksonville a 21-14 third-quarter lead.

The 99-yard pick-six was the longest interception return in Jaguars team history and also made up for Lawrence's earlier fumble. Per NFL Next Gen Stats, the interception increased Jacksonville's win probably by 42 percentage points, from 28% to 70%.
It was Lloyd's fourth interception already this season, which ranks first in the NFL, establishing him as an early Defensive Player of the Year candidate.
Rookie Jaguars cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter had one of the season's most spectacular catches of the young season on Jacksonville's third-quarter touchdown drive that tied the game at 14, going up for a circus catch on a 44-yard gain.

Per NFL Next Gen Stats, the pass traveled 43.1 air yards and had a 15.5% completion probability. When factoring Hunter as the intended target, that might be 85.5 percentage points too low.
"He's one of those guys who he has such great ball skills whether he's on defense or on offense," ESPN "Monday Night Football" color commentator Troy Aikman said.
"He's just — it's his ball when it's in the air," the three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback added.
Hunter finished catching all three of his targets for 64 yards, his best offensive performance of the season. With his elite ball skills, Jacksonville would be wise to showcase him more often in the downfield passing game as it plays more meaningful games into November, December and, possibly, January.
