At 2:31 a.m. CT on Sunday, Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass reported that Sawalich had been released from the hospital.

Later on Sunday morning, Sawalich posted on social media to confirm his condition.

"Appreciate all the messages and calls last night," Sawalich wrote. "Finally made it back home from Talladega — a little sore, but feeling better and thankful for all the support. Grateful for my team, the racing community, the NASCAR medical staff, nurses and doctors at UAB Hospital, friends and family."

Sawalich finished 30th in Saturday's race. Through 31 of 33 races in his rookie season of Xfinity Series competition, the 19-year-old from Eden Prairie, Minn., is 17th in the standings with three top-five finishes and nine top-10 results.

Austin Hill went on to win Saturday's United Rentals 250. There are two races remaining in the 2025 Xfinity Series season.
