
As pretty as Arkansas' offense looked on paper this season, its struggles in the second half became a focal point of the Razorbacks' struggles.
That was especially apparent in Saturday's 31-17 loss to Missouri, which gave Arkansas its third 2-10 season in eight years.
While rotating between a pair of quarterbacks in KJ Jackson and Taylen Green, Arkansas was held off the scoreboard over the final 30 minutes and gained only 73 yards.
It was far from the first time that a stagnant Arkansas offense in the second half played a big part in a loss this season.
In Arkansas's first loss of the season to Ole Miss, Arkansas trailed 31-28 at halftime. But a scoreless third quarter and a fumble on a would-be go-ahead drive late in the game sealed a 41-35 loss.
The next week against Memphis, Arkansas led 28-17 at halftime before imploding and scoring only three points in the second half. Once again, Arkansas fumbled on a drive where they could've taken the lead late in the game, losing 32-31.
Against Tennessee, a scoreless third quarter dug the Hogs into a 34-17 hole before two late scores nearly gave Arkansas a chance to win. Ultimately, Tennessee hung on for a 34-31 win.
Against Auburn, Arkansas led 21-10 at the half. But Arkansas scored only three second-half points and committed four fourth-quarter turnovers en route to a 33-24 loss.
Arkansas shot out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter against LSU before scoring only eight points in the second half in a 23-22 loss. Against Texas, Arkansas trailed 24-20 at halftime but scored only three points in the third quarter, adding two garbage-time scores in the waning moments of the contest.
It was a frustrating trend in a season full of them for Arkansas, which is ready to hit the reset button going into a crucial 2026 campaign.
