John Madden once said that if you have two quarterbacks, you have none.
Arkansas' attempt at playing two quarterbacks in Saturday's Battle Line Rivalry game against Missouri proved why.
Arkansas interim head coach Bobby Petrino did not explicitly name a starting quarterback for the Tigers game, but after redshirt senior Taylen Green was pulled for redshirt freshman KJ Jackson in a Nov. 22 loss to No. 16 Texas, the writing seemed to be on the wall that Jackson would get the nod.
Get the nod Jackson did, and he led a scoring drive in the first quarter that culminated in a strike to O'Mega Blake to tie the game at 7-7.

That's why it was so confusing to see Petrino trot Green out on Arkansas' next offensive possession with the game tied at 14-14 after a defensive touchdown for Arkansas and a Missouri response.
On Green's first series of the afternoon, the veteran QB scrambled for a first down but could muster nothing else, resulting in an Arkansas punt.
The only points Green led the Razorbacks to as quarterback on Saturday came by default, as a bad snap on a punt led to Arkansas getting the ball in Missouri territory and having to settle for a field goal after failing to convert on a 3rd-and-1 pass.
The Razorbacks did not score for the rest of the game.
Petrino did bring Jackson back into the game to start the third quarter, but by that point, the young quarterback's rhythm was clearly thrown off. Jackson's two drives in the second half ended in a punt and a missed field goal that would've tied the game at 20.
Petrino brought his senior in Green back onto the field in the fourth quarter, but poor play from Arkansas offensive line only resulted in Green having to run for his life and spending much of the final frame staring at the northwest Arkansas stars.
Arkansas' final two possessions of the game with Green under center ended in punts. In total, Arkansas' offense mustered 10 points on Saturday. Jackson was the better QB between himself and Green, and arguably outplayed Mizzou QB Beau Pribula, who threw only seven passes for 25 yards.
Jackson finished 11-of-17 for 126 yards and a touchdown, while Green had his worst outing of the season, going 6-of-13 for 59 yards.
It was an offensive performance eerily reminiscent of the Chad Morris era at Arkansas, in which Morris, who presided over a high-flying offense at SMU, was forced to rotate through a laundry list of quarterbacks during his two-year stint in Fayetteville.
And just like during Morris' time on the sideline in Fayetteville, Petrino's two-QB strategy failed to change much on Saturday.
