The New Orleans Saints seem to love playing spoiler to their NFC South rivals this season.
After beating the Panthers on Nov. 9, New Orleans went into a rain-soaked Tampa Bay on Sunday and beat the Buccaneers 24-20, dealing the Bucs a huge loss in the midst of their playoff push. Tampa Bay falls to 7-6, and while it still has a 71 percent chance to make the postseason, per NFL.com, it is now tied atop the NFC South standings with Carolina at 7-6.
If Tampa Bay were to fall out of the lead in the NFC South in the coming weeks, a wild-card berth seems like a long shot, given that the Rams, Packers and 49ers have all won at least eight games before the conclusion of Sunday's slate.
Saints QB Tyler Shough did not have a traditional quarterback stat line on Sunday afternoon. Shough, who made a name for himself in the Saints' aforementioned win over Carolina on Nov. 9, got his second win as an NFL starter on Sunday despite throwing for only 144 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.
Rather than putting on an airshow, Shough had a huge impact on the game with his running ability on Sunday. The rookie QB had 55 rushing yards on just seven carries, including a pair of touchdown runs that ended up being the difference.

A final defensive stand sealed the win for the Saints, who have another chance to play NFC South spoiler at home against the Panthers on Dec. 14. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, will look to rebound against the Falcons at home on Dec. 11 on "Thursday Night Football."
