Slugging right fielder Adolis Garcia is headed back to the National League after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Garcia's new contract for the 2026 season is believed to be for $10 million, according to MLB.com.
And assuming Garcia, 32, passes his physical, he will be the Phillies' new starting right fielder, adding even more pop to an already potent lineup led by Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber.
Garcia, a native of Cuba, is coming off a season in which he blasted 19 home runs and recorded 75 RBI in 135 games played for the Texas Rangers.

However, despite still flexing his muscles with his power, Garcia's numbers were down last season across the board compared to his previous four seasons, likely why he had to settle for a one-year deal. He hit only .227 with a .271 on-base percentage and a .394 slug.
But Philadelphia is banking on getting a bargain if Garcia can turn back the clock to when he was one of the most underrated power hitters in baseball.
Garcia's best season came when he connected on 39 home runs, registered 107 RBI to go along with a slash line of .245/.328/.508 for a Rangers team that won the franchise's first World Series title in 2023.
Earning National League Championship Series MVP honors, Garcia also stepped up his game in the postseason, hitting an uncharacteristically high .323 with a .726 slugging percentage while sending eight balls over the fence and driving in 22 runs in October.
Still solid, Garcia hit 27 home runs with 101 RBI the previous season and 31 with 90 RBI in 2021 before his breakout campaign. Two seasons ago, Garcia put up 25 homers and 85 RBI.
Garcia has 141 home runs, 459 RBI, 402 runs scored and a career .237 average in 2,851 at-bats across 766 games during his seven-year MLB career.
A two-time All-Star, Garcia started his career in St. Louis with the Cardinals before being dumped in December 2019.
