Kyler Murray's days with the Arizona Cardinals look all but done.
The former No. 1 pick hasn't lived up to the expectations after getting a five-year, $230.5 million contract extension in 2022.
However, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler still believes there could be a market for him in the offseason.
"His nearly $37 million in guarantees on the 2026 books complicates his market, but Murray is 28 and isn't far removed from fringe top-10-QB status," Fowler wrote.
The insider chose the Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets as teams that could be in the mix for a bridge quarterback with some upside, although his steep salary and potential asking price might be an issue.
"Does a safe landing spot exist for Murray? Working with, say, Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota would be ideal, but J.J. McCarthy has shown improvement over the past two weeks. The Raiders and Jets are among teams which appear to be in transition at quarterback. Whether a team takes a chance on Murray's maligned career -- and gives up draft capital and financial resources to do it -- remains to be seen," added Fowler.
The Jets and Raiders should both be looking at long-term solutions, but only one of them might be in a position to take a potential franchise quarterback in the NFL Draft.
As for the Vikings, it's hard to believe they will be willing to make such a lofty investment after committing to McCarthy.
Murray hasn't been the same dual-threat speedster over the past couple of years, and there have also been some questions about his leadership and maturity.
Still, given his talent and age, a team might be desperate enough to pay what the Cardinals ask for him.
