Jim Harbaugh is not worried about whether brother John will find a new head coaching job. His primary worry appears to be where it will be.
The Los Angeles Chargers coach was asked Wednesday about the Baltimore Ravens’ decision to fire John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. Jim Harbaugh predicted that John will be a head coach next year, and called his brother “the best coach I’ve ever seen.”
His one wish for John? Go to the NFC.
“Whatever team he goes to is going to be formidable, and I just hope it’s in the NFC,” Jim said.
Jim Harbaugh on John Harbaugh being let go by the Ravens: "John Harbaugh is the best coach I know, the best coach I’ve ever seen. …Whatever team he goes to is going to be formidable, and I just hope it’s in the NFC."

Harbaugh added: "He’ll be a head coach next year."
Jim and John had both been in the AFC for the last two seasons since Jim took the Chargers job. They were in opposite conferences earlier in their careers, and John even beat Jim in Super Bowl XLVII.
Jim Harbaugh’s assessment of his brother’s career prospects is almost certainly correct. Not only will John get a head coach position next year, but he might well have his pick of them. Jim would presumably be comfortable with one team that is pursuing John with everything they have.
