Despite having to deal with recent key injuries and drama, there was reason for the Golden State Warriors to celebrate on Sunday.
Stephen Curry, the one constant in the organization, further enhanced his legacy while leading the Warriors to a 111-85 road win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry scored 26 points in only 28 minutes, moving up the NBA's all-time regular-season scoring list in the process. He connected on 7-of-18 shots from the field for only 38.9% and only splashed three triples out of 10 attempts.
But thanks to his latest performance, Curry has now entered the top 20 in total points scored, passing Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek.

Curry, 37, now in the midst of his 17th season, all with the Warriors, is putting together one of his best individual seasons from recent memory. He's averaging 27.4 points per game in 36 games played so far.
If Curry's current scoring average holds throughout the rest of the season, he will finish with his highest mark since he averaged 29.4 in 2022-23.
Career-wise, Curry holds a 24.8 average in points per game in total.
Beyond scoring, Curry also recorded seven assists and a pair of rebounds against Minnesota. He's averaging 4.9 helpers and 3.7 boards per game as well.
The NBA's all-time three-point shooter's legacy is in stone, but of course, as a four-time NBA champion, Curry covets another ring more than advancing on any career list. However, with Jimmy Butler out for the year, the odds the 26-21 Warriors can truly contend are slim.
Golden State lost back-to-back games, including one to the struggling Dallas Mavericks, before traveling to snowy Minnesota. Even with Sunday's win, the Warriors are in eighth place in the Western Conference, granted they are right below the Timberwolves and have another shot at getting closer to seventh when they meet again on Monday night.
