Cristiano Ronaldo fans won't like Bad Bunny's gesture toward Lionel Messi

After making history with his Super Bowl performance, Bad Bunny continues his "Debi Tirar Mas Fotos World Tour." It was Argentina's turn, where the Puerto Rican singer sold out three shows at Buenos Aires' Estadio Monumental.

As often happens at concerts, artists change details of their shows to connect with the audience in the country where they are performing. Bad Bunny was no exception: he decided to change the lyrics of one of his songs to mention Lionel Messi instead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

At one of his shows in Buenos Aires, the singer surprised his fans by singing a snippet of Soda Stereo's "De Musica Ligera," but in a salsa version. He also modified one of his most famous songs to dedicate a few words to the Argentine national team captain.

Bad Bunny chooses Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo during Argentina show

In the track "Otra Noche en Miami," Bad Bunny changed the phrase "I'm Cristiano after scoring a goal" to "I'm Messi after scoring a goal." The change sparked great excitement among attendees, who celebrated the artist's gesture.

But that was not the only thing. "Benito" also took the stage wearing an Argentine national team jersey, with the number 19, which was the first squad number Messi used with the national team, because at that time the No. 10 belonged to Juan Roman Riquelme.

Separately, Messi is recovering from a hamstring injury in his left leg, which he suffered during a preparatory match with Inter Miami. This injury prevented him from playing a friendly match in Puerto Rico, which had to be rescheduled to ensure the Argentine could participate, as he was the centerpiece of the event.

So far, the official list of players called up by Lionel Scaloni for the 2026 World Cup has not been released. But many Argentine fans, and fans from around the world, hope that Messi can be at the World Cup to be played in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
