Carson Hocevar's antics on the racetrack have been a topic of conversation since his began racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Now in his third season as a Cup Series driver, the 23-year-old is consistently fast, but he has a tendency to ruffle plenty of feathers.
The latest example came at Atlanta on Feb. 22, when Hocevar tried to squeeze through a small gap between Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell on an overtime restart. Bell ended up crashing after contact between himself and Hocevar.
On Monday, Denny Hamlin said things were going to "come back around" for Hocevar. But Hocevar himself has a different point of view.
In a Thursday interview with Jeff Gluck, Hocevar explained his mindset toward any payback that might come his way.
"Anytime I do it unintentionally, right, I'm just like, 'Man, I'm sorry'," Hocevar said regarding his run-ins with fellow drivers. "When you go skeet shooting, you might shoot 10 feet off or five feet off or even close, but the intention is, you're going out there to hit the thing."
To any drivers who want to 'pay back' Carson Hocevar...

"If anybody wants to, per se, settle the score, that's intention. I feel like that's two points on the score card vs my maybe one. Then we're not really even."
If drivers were to deliver revenge to Hocevar, the close quarters of Circuit of the Americas on Sunday might be the place to do it. Hocevar enters Sunday's race at COTA fourth in the Cup Series standings through two races.
