In February, the Kansas State Wildcats parted ways with their head coach, Jerome Tang, and more men's college basketball head coaches at the high-major level are expected to be fired by their respective schools once the 2025-26 season is over.
As postseason conference tournaments wrap up by Selection Sunday on March 15, the coaching carousel will kick into high gear. Teams will want to quickly have their new head coach and staff in place, given that the transfer-portal window will be open from April 7 to April 21.
Bobby Hurley, Arizona State Sun Devils
2025-26 record: 15-14 overall, 6-10 in Big 12 Conference
Hurley's 11th season leading Arizona State has been a challenging one. Under his watch, the Sun Devils have made three NCAA Tournaments, but Arizona State is in danger of sporting its third straight losing campaign. Hurley is 183–165 overall in Tempe.
Earl Grant, Boston College Eagles
2025-26 record: 10-19 overall, 3-13 in Atlantic Coast Conference
Grant, in his fifth season at Boston College's helm, has only produced one winning campaign, and the Eagles have never made the Big Dance under his watch. To be fair, Boston College doesn't have the same financial resources as many of its ACC peers. But Grant is a combined 71-91 with the Eagles. That's not good enough.
Damon Stoudamire, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
2025-26 record: 11-18 overall, 2-14 in Atlantic Coast Conference
Georgia Tech is likely headed toward a last-place finish in the ACC. Stoudamire is in his third season leading the Yellow Jackets, and he's never won more than 17 games in a single campaign, with an overall record of 42–53 in Atlanta.
Kim English, Providence Friars
2025-26 record: 14-15 overall, 7-11 in Big East Conference
In his first season at Providence, English claimed 21 victories, but it's gone downhill fast over the past two campaigns. The Friars are flirting with a losing record in the 2025-26 season, and English is a mere 47-49 guiding Providence.
Adrian Autry, Syracuse Orange
2025-26 record: 15-14 overall, 6-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference
Autry had the difficult task of replacing a legendary Hall of Famer in Jim Boeheim. In his first season, Autry led Syracuse to 20 wins, but he went 14-19 last year and could finish with a losing record in 2025-26. Overall, Autry is just 49-45 with the Orange. It would be a surprise if he were brought back for a fourth season leading Syracuse.
