Stunning betting favorite emerges to land Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby

A new favorite has emerged in the sweepstakes for superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Crosby’s time with the Las Vegas Raiders is likely over. It doesn’t appear that there’s a way back for the parties after the player walked out once he got shut down near the end of last season.

The Raiders have revealed their asking price for the five-time Pro Bowler. And the Chicago Bears are now the favorites to land him in a trade.

DraftKings has the NFC North franchise as the +200 favorites to acquire Crosby, per ProFootballTalk.

They have +350 odds on him remaining in Vegas, though claims of him finding a new home as early as this week have arisen as we near the start of the new league year.

The Raiders are reportedly not prepared to let the DE walk for anything less than two first-round picks.

As for the Bears, they do seem like the perfect fit for Crosby.

The offense under Ben Johnson proved to be one of the biggest headaches in the league last season. A defensive star of Crosby’s caliber could possibly see them contend for a Super Bowl.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero has also named Chicago the best possible landing spot for Crosby.

“If I’m thinking who are the teams that make sense for Maxx Crosby, a few that would come to mind would be the Chicago Bears, a team that people will remember swung another trade with the Raiders for a high-profile pass-rusher in Khalil Mack some years ago,” Pelissero said on "The Rich Eisen Show" this week.

“They feel like they’re close, they were right there at the end in the playoffs. Could Maxx Crosby be somebody who puts them over the top and elevates that pass rush. I think that would be a fit,” he added.

Whether or not they make a move remains to be seen.
