Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens has landed with a new NFL team for the 2026 season.
Owens has agreed to a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts, according to multiple reports. The safety spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
Owens carved out a significant role as a special teams player with the Bears, though he has been a starter at safety for the Houston Texans in the past. He should continue to play a special teams role with the Colts while also providing valuable safety depth to an organization that had a dire need for that.
The 30-year-old safety has seven seasons of NFL experience under his belt. He originally broke into the league with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri Western State, and was ultimately able to work his way into a consistent role that makes him valuable to any number of teams.
Of course, Owens remains best known for his marriage to Biles, the 11-time Olympic medalist. That means the Colts will have a famous new fan next season based on how she has handled his past moves to new franchises.
