Dejounte Murray is back on the court after spending months working through a ruptured Achilles tendon.
The New Orleans Pelicans guard returned to action in late February and has been a big reason the team managed a 6-4 run during a stretch where wins have been hard to come by.
His return has given the Pelicans a lift, but it was not his stats that got people talking recently. Murray hit a three-pointer over Toronto Raptors guard Jamal Shead during a game and stood over him afterward with a brief taunt.
The clip made the rounds on social media quickly, and reactions were all over the place. Some fans appreciated the competitive edge, while others felt he went too far.

Draymond Green was not one of the critics. The Golden State Warriors forward spoke up for Murray on his podcast, saying the broadcast probably did not show the full story. Green knows Murray well enough to believe something had to provoke that kind of reaction, especially given how calm Murray usually stays during games.
"If you know Dejounte, he don't have to be right there, right?" Green said. "And so he keep it very chill. For Dejounte to do that, you had to be talking. You had to be doing something … But that flip can switch fast for Dejounte. He can get right on that type of time.
"Needless to say, man. I love to see it. Most importantly, I love to see my little bro out there back hooping, getting to it, doing what he love, being the leader that he is."
Murray has not built a reputation as someone who stirs things up. He has been involved in heated exchanges before, but he is rarely the one who starts them.
Green treated the moment as competitive fire rather than anything worth making a big deal about.
Since returning, Murray has put up solid numbers. He is averaging 19.8 points, 5.3 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game, giving New Orleans one of the few positives in an otherwise tough season.
