No. 1 seeds with easiest, toughest draw in women's NCAA Tournament

Now that the 68-team field has officially been revealed, the madness is set to begin in another NCAA Tournament.

With the women's bracket finalized, which of the four No. 1 seeds has the easiest path to the Final Four, and which one has the toughest draw of the four teams?

Easiest draw: Texas Longhorns (31-3, 13-3 SEC)

The Longhorns are fresh off an upset of South Carolina to win the SEC Tournament championship, and arguably have the easiest path of any No. 1 seed. Texas has an NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) ranking of four, while its 14 Quad 1 wins only trail fellow No. 1 seed UCLA (19) for the most in the country.

The top-three seeds below Texas in Regional 3 Fort Worth are Michigan (two), Louisville (three) and West Virginia (four). The Wolverines have the best NET ranking of the bunch (six), with the Cardinals (11) and Mountaineers (18) not far behind. Furthermore, Louisville nearly defeated Duke for the ACC Tournament title, and West Virginia upended TCU for the Big 12 Tournament title.

That may not immediately stand out as an easier path, but when you consider the gauntlet that UCLA has to go through and the combined NET rankings of the teams in the other regions, the Longhorns have a fairly straightforward path to the Final Four.

Michigan's ninth-ranked scoring offense (83.6 PPG) is just one of the potential challenges, but without as much star power as other regions, Texas appears to be in a much different position than the rest of the No. 1 seeds.

Toughest draw: UCLA Bruins (31-1, 18-0 Big Ten)

The Big Ten regular-season and tournament champions were in the discussion for the No. 1 overall seed, but after losing out on that to UConn, the Bruins got the toughest draw of all the one-seeds. They have the most Quad 1 wins of any team, but it will not be a cakewalk to the Final Four.

The top-three seeds below UCLA in Regional 2 Sacramento are LSU (two), Duke (three) and Minnesota (four). The Tigers (five), Blue Devils (eight) and Golden Gophers (nine) are each inside the top 10 in NET ranking and have a combined 21 Quad 1 wins.

UCLA is led by National Player of the Year contender Lauren Betts and has an experienced team that is familiar with the big stage. It has taken care of business all season, and there is no reason to believe that it cannot continue throughout the NCAA Tournament.

The talent on this Bruins team is undeniable, but with so many star-studded squads in the region and some potential challenges before they even get to the Final Four, the road getting there will not be an easy one.
