49ers hosting Texas A&M star wideout for top-30 visit

The San Francisco 49ers will host Texas A&M standout wide receiver KC Concepcion for a top-30 visit, college football analyst Ryan Fowler reported Thursday. 

The top-30 visit could signal San Francisco has serious interest in drafting the electric wideout. The NFL Draft is April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.

Each year NFL teams are allowed to invite up to 30 draft-eligible prospects to their facilities for private pre-draft meetings. These meetings serve as an opportunity for teams to evaluate the player’s character, health and how he'll potentially fit with the team. 

The 49ers added six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans and wideout Christian Kirk in free agency. However, both are coming off injury-riddled seasons. The 49ers also dealt with injuries of their own with starting wideout Ricky Pearsall missing nine games last season.

With so many questions at the position, the 49ers could still be looking to bring in youth and speed to the position. 

In March 2026, Concepcion reportedly underwent a routine and preventative knee scope procedure. Expect all teams interested in Concepcion to do their due diligence on the health of his knee.

WR KC Concepcion could be a fit for the 49ers

Concepcion would add an electric element to the 49ers that they are currently missing. Evans will command attention from defenses, opening the middle of the field and underneath space for a quick, shifty player like Concepcion.

Concepcion (6-foot and 196 pounds) could also be used as a gadget player on designed plays out of the backfield or on screens that get him into open space.

Concepcion was productive in the tough SEC last season, recording 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdown catches. He was also effective as a punt returner, returning 25 punts for 456 yards and two TDs.
