The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching. Like most years, the focus is on the quarterbacks and potential first-round picks, but as every fan knows, there are gems to be found in the later rounds.
ESPN's Matt Miller recently released a seven-round NFL mock draft. In it, there is some good insight into what teams are going to be looking for throughout the draft.
Here are four players expected by Miller to go on Day 3 to keep an eye on:
When Dennis-Sutton first landed at Penn State, he had been rated as a five-star recruit by On3. Along with that comes the ideal size and speed for an edge-rusher. He was measured at 6-foot-6 and 256 pounds at the NFL Combine. That went along with the sixth-fastest 40-yard dash among edge-rushers.
Miller currently has Dennis-Sutton as a fourth-round pick. That's coming off a season when he had 8.5 sacks and 12.0 tackles for a loss to finish his college career with 23.5 sacks, 34.5 tackles for a loss and seven forced fumbles.
Miller predicts Washington Huskies running back Jonah Coleman to go in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. That's after a four-year career playing for Jedd Fisch at Arizona and later Washington. He finished with 3,054 yards and 34 touchdowns on 5.5 yards per attempt for his career.
There's no expectation that Coleman will come to an NFL team and immediately become the premier back there. He could, however, become a great complementary piece. A downhill runner, he sees holes well in tight spaces and can play physically, even if speed is sometimes a concern.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders had one of the best defenses in the country in 2025. At safety, Wisniewski was a highly underrated piece of that puzzle. A transfer from North Dakota State, in his one season with Texas Tech, he played in 14 games and had 78 tackles, 6.0 tackles for a loss and 1.0 sack to go with six passes defended and a forced fumble.
While at North Dakota State, Wisniewski was a part of two national championship teams. He'd go on to impress at his Pro Day as well, adding a 36.5-inch vertical and a 10-foot-2 broad jump, despite competing with an injury. Those marks would have been 10th and ninth, respectively, among safeties at the NFL Combine. As such, Miller has him going in the sixth round.
Miller currently has Kelly going in the Mr. Irrelevant slot to wrap up the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite that, there's a good chance he makes some noise in his NFL career. The former Miami Hurricane transferred to UCF, where he spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons as one of the most underrated edge-rushers in the Big 12.
Kelly had a productive college career. That included 12.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for a loss in 40 games, with the majority of that production coming in the last two seasons. He has a pro frame to go along with that, but just needs to clean up his technique and get a bit stronger.
