Sunday's 3-0 win completed the series sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays and brought the Chicago White Sox's overall record to 4-5.
After a miserable 2025 season that followed a historically bad 2024, the White Sox enter the new week having already accomplished a rarity for the franchise.
The White Sox, who opened the 2026 season on a six-game road trip, now enter Monday's series opener with the Baltimore Orioles with a 3-0 home record, marking the first time Chicago has held a 3-0 home record at the beginning of a season since 2004.
With third baseman Miguel Vargas leading the team in most offensive categories, and Munetaka Murakami's team-leading four home runs, the White Sox are showing early season signs of turning the corner as a franchise.
The last time Chicago's South Siders had a winning season was back in 2021, which also marks the organization's last postseason appearance.

Since winning 93 games five years ago, the White Sox have lost 100 or more games three times and only played .500 baseball once — an 81-81 finish in 2022.
While it's still too soon to evaluate or judge any team and there's no guarantee this level of competitive play will continue, the White Sox have emerged as one of the surprise stories of the first two weeks of the season.
And for a possible good omen, the 2004 White Sox team that also started 3-0 at home ended that summer 83-79 and then went 99-63 and won the World Series the next season.
Chicago will look to stay unbeaten at home and claim another series in a week that includes welcoming the struggling Orioles to Rate Field before traveling to Kansas City for a four-game series with the Royals that extends into the weekend.
