Once again, the Indiana Fever will be one of the teams to beat in the WNBA this season.
All of their regular-season games will be nationally televised, which speaks volumes about the Caitlin Clark effect and her impact on the league's growth.
Nevertheless, the Fever will be much more than a one-woman show. They have plenty of talent, including newcomer first-round pick Raven Johnson.
With that in mind, veteran Sophie Cunningham raved about the new-look Fever, sharing her honest thoughts about their title aspirations.
“They're strong, and they've been really fun,” Cunningham told Robin Lundberg. “You have KT [Kayana Traylor], who's not really a rookie anymore, but she's a rookie to us. You have Justine [Pissott] from Vandy, you have JT [Jessica Timmons] from Alabama, and then you have Raven [Johnson], who's been absolutely phenomenal. And so I know they're clawing their way for that roster spot, but truly, they've just been such a breath of fresh air into our team, just like defensively, and just like their attitudes coming in with a smile and being a sponge.”

When asked about their fast-paced offense with Clark leading the way and pushing the break, Cunningham thinks that might not necessarily be their only way to hurt opposing defenses.
Instead, she gushed about their physical frontcourt and how other teams might struggle to contain Monique Billings and Aliyah Boston.
“But when you have two athletic bigs who are, first of all, great defensive players, they run rim-to-rim, they're physical, they set great screens, they get boards. I mean, who wouldn't want that on your team? It's going to be interesting to see how we play against other teams, because we've been playing against ourselves for so long,” she added.
The Fever have way too many ways to wreak havoc on offense, including arguably the best young shooter in the game.
And after a disappointing injury-riddled campaign for both Clark and Cunningham, this team should be in for revenge in 2026.
