The Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, April 29, in the must-win Game 5, 116-109, forcing Game 6.
But, it's not all roses for Detroit. On Thursday, the Pistons' injury report dropped the news that forward Tobias Harris is questionable for Game 6 on Friday due to a left ankle sprain.
Those who caught Game 5 may remember that Harris went down in pain at one point and embraced his ankle. But, he got up and stayed in the game. He was the team's second-best offensive player in the showdown, so his injury went fairly unnoticed.
If he's out, Javonte Green and Daniss Jenkins could get more time on the court.
What are the likely ramifications of potentially losing Harris to an injury? In a series where Detroit is fighting for its life, having Harris sidelined could be extra hard on the team.
Cade Cunningham gets all the press, and rightly so, because he's the star of the franchise, but Harris was the team's second-leading scorer in Game 5 and simply helped push them over the edge.
Harris is averaging 19.8 points per game. He also scored points 23 in Game 5. The team is still behind in the series, 3-2, so Friday is a must-win game.
Can the Pistons win Game 6 against the Magic without Harris? Yes. But, it becomes more difficult, and in the NBA playoffs, that makes a difference.
