The New England Patriots pulled the plug on the Stefon Diggs experiment early in their partnership.
They showed him the door after just one year, and he has yet to find another home.
However, now that the dust has settled on the 2026 NFL Draft, it shouldn't be long before he puts pen to paper.
Looking at all 32 teams, the Las Vegas Raiders would make perfect sense for him, and they may need him more than they'd want to admit.
The Raiders just drafted Fernando Mendoza with the first-overall pick, but he may not play much as a rookie -- if at all.
Instead, the Raiders will be Kirk Cousins' show, at least at first. Diggs and Cousins wreaked havoc together for years with the Minnesota Vikings, so the chemistry and familiarity with the system are there.
Moreover, Klint Kubiak's team spent big bucks to fix multiple areas of the roster, but they still don't have that much talent in the pass-catching department.
Star TE Brock Bowers should handle the bulk of targets. Aside from him, they have Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor and Jack Bech as projected starters.
This team should be much better than it was last season -- not that the bar is high -- but this WR room still leaves plenty to be desired.
They can probably convince Diggs to sign him to a short-term, mid-level deal.
Reuniting with Cousins could be a great opportunity for Diggs while allowing the Raiders to address one of the biggest holes on their roster.
