For the second straight year, Carson Hocevar will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag at Texas Motor Speedway.
Hocevar, who scored his first Cup win at Talladega on April 26 and won Friday's Truck Series race at Texas, earned his second career Cup pole with a lap of 28.222 seconds.
Hocevar squeaked out the pole position by only .003 seconds over his Spire Motorsports teammate in Daniel Suarez. It's the second pole of Hocevar's Cup Series career.
"It feels pretty good right now," Hocevar told Prime Video. "I knew we were going out last. I didn't expect to steal [the pole] from our teammate. A testament to all the Spire guys. This is a team effort. Two cars on the front row after a win."
"If I'm going to get beat by someone, I'm glad it was my teammate," Suarez said.
Prosper, Texas, native Chris Buescher, Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe rounded out the top five, with Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman and Ty Gibbs completing the top 10.
Other notable qualifying efforts include Kyle Larson in 11th, Connor Zilisch in 12th, Chase Elliott in 14th, William Byron in 15th and Ryan Blaney in 31st. Defending Texas winner Joey Logano qualified 23rd.
Chad Finchum laid down the slowest lap (30.613 seconds) of the 36 drivers to take time.
Bubba Wallace did not make a qualifying lap after crashing in practice, while Austin Dillon did not attempt to qualify after changing an engine. Wallace and Dillon will start 37th and 38th, respectively, on Sunday.
The Wurth 400 will go green shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET Sunday, with coverage on FS1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 2 p.m. ET on FS1 and at 2:30 p.m. ET on PRN.
