Chase Elliott took control of Sunday's Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway late in Stage 2 and never gave it back.
After winning Stage 2 in a one-lap shootout, Elliott held the lead throughout the final stage, pulling away on a long green flag run.
After the caution came out with 11 laps to go, however, the field was re-racked for a final restart that had the potential to turn into chaos.
But Elliott, as he usually is, was calm, cool and collected over the final four laps, clearing Denny Hamlin on the restart and driving away to earn his second win of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season and the 23rd of his career.

"We've not been where we wanted to be throughout portions of this season," Elliott told Fox Sports. "Everyone's just been digging in really hard. I wasn't really sure whether to go top or bottom. I felt like if I didn't get clear off of [turn] 2 I was going to be in a lot of trouble. It worked out really good. To have two [wins] this early in the year is really special."
Elliott led a total of 86 laps on the day and is the only Hendrick Motorsports driver to win in 2026. The victory is his second at Texas.
Hamlin, Alex Bowman, points leader Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher rounded out the top five, with Daniel Suarez, polesitter Carson Hocevar, William Byron, Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney completing the top 10. Byron rebounded from a spin on Lap 93 to score his sixth top 10 of the year.
Other notable finishers included Riley Herbst in 11th, Brad Keselowski in 13th, Kyle Busch in 20th, Chase Briscoe in 23rd and Ross Chastain in 26th.
Sunday's race featured several single-car incidents involving some of the best drivers in the sport. Joey Logano hit Cole Custer on pit road and was relegated to a 37th-place finish, while Christopher Bell finished last (38th) after being clipped by a spinning Todd Gilliland in Stage 1 while leading.
Ty Gibbs finished 36th after being spun by Ryan Preece, while Kyle Larson crashed by himself in Turn 2 and finished 34th, laps down. Corey Heim crashed with 11 laps to go, bringing out the final yellow of the afternoon. He led multiple times on Sunday after getting on a varying pit strategy in both Stage 2 and Stage 3. Erik Jones won Stage 1, with Elliott winning Stage 2.
