The Kansas City Chiefs spent most of their draft capital to address their defensive needs.
Kenneth Walker III was their lone big-name addition for the offense, snatching the reigning Super Bowl MVP as soon as free agency began. Walker has a chance to be the team's first 1,000-yard rusher since rookie Kareem Hunt.
However, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is far from impressed with his game. In an interview with Kay Adams, Walker revealed that Bieniemy wasted no time breaking down the mistakes in his tape.
"Just intense," the running back told Adams. "From the first night I met him, we were just meeting up [and] going to dinner. He was talking about, like, stuff that I did wrong on the field, and just talking about everything I need to be detailed at. I knew what I was getting into when I met him. He wants the best for everybody, but he got high standards, and that's good if you want to be better."

That's just Coach Bieniemy. He's earned a reputation for being a "tough love" kind of guy, and that may have rubbed some people the wrong way. Nevertheless, his pedigree as one of the top running back gurus in the league is unquestioned, and the Chiefs offense has lacked its explosiveness since he left years ago.
Now in his second tenure with the organization and with a true workhorse back to lead the way, Bieniemy and Walker could be a very successful partnership for years to come.
Walker knows this isn't personal. If anything, coaches only demand a lot from those they know can give a lot, and the defending Super Bowl MVP can take his game to another level now that he's no longer limited by a committee.
