The Philadelphia 76ers three-game winning streak that carried them past the Boston Celtics in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs came to a screeching halt against the New York Knicks.
Going from Game 7 at the TD Garden to Game 1 at Madison Square Garden, the Sixers fell 137-98. Veteran Paul George, who led all Philly scorers with just 17 points, acknowledged some hang over from the intensity of their do-or-die clash over the weekend.
“I won’t use [fatigue] as an excuse, but [it’s] an emotional roller coaster,” George said after the blowout.
“You go from a Game 7 and one day off, then you head into another matchup. There was some carryover of us trying to get prepared for it, but we should have come out and done a better job.”
Despite the lopsided nature of Game 1, the Sixers have a chance to even the series if they can steal Game 2 on Wednesday night.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. With the Knicks looking like a juggernaut, the Sixers may need George to turn back the clock a bit to have a chance at the upset. With that being said, can you name the NBA players to average 20 points-per-game in the most postseasons?
Good luck!
