Wide receiver Tyreek Hill could find himself back in the AFC West

Not so long ago, Tyreek Hill was the consensus best or second-best wide receiver in the game.

Now, the former Super Bowl champion is facing major questions about his future.

He's coming off a significant knee injury, has faced backlash for his behavior off the field, and remains unsigned just days before the start of OTAs. However, he should still have plenty left in the tank, and it might be just a matter of time before he finds a new home.

With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Paul Kasabian explained why the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders need him.

The Chiefs and Raiders make sense for Tyreek Hill

"His status for the 2026 campaign remains unclear. If he is available for at least some of next season, though, his old team, the Kansas City Chiefs, might make sense," wrote Kasabian. "Hill and quarterback Patrick Mahomes clearly formed an amazing rapport, and that could be reignited with a reunion."

Hill has teased a reunion with the Chiefs multiple times in the past couple of years.

Things didn't necessarily end well between him and the organization, but he's always had nothing but love for head coach Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

As for the Raiders, they've gone to great lengths to add firepower to the defense, but they still don't have many weapons to kick off the Kirk Cousins/Fernando Mendoza era:

"Wide receiver, on paper, might be a place where there's room for improvement, although that could very well be proven wrong this season. Still, if the Raiders want to make a move, Hill's out there and would become the team's WR1," he added.

Whatever the case, it looks like a return to the AFC West is in the cards for the speedy playmaker.

He may no longer be the fastest player in the league after such a long layoff and a career-threatening injury, which is a major knock for an undersized player who made a living out of leaving defenders in the dust.

That said, he should still have a place in the league if the price makes sense.
