Charles Barkley is serious about the NBA, and he often offers insightful commentary after games.
But following the Cleveland Cavaliers' defeat of the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, Barkley just couldn't help but move away from the serious talk to say something that perhaps people were thinking but not saying out loud.
Watching the postgame interviews with the Cavs, Barkley pointed out that one player, Max Strus, is simply a "pretty man."
"Max Strus played great. I'm thinking what everybody's thinking. That's a pretty man," Barkley said on "Inside the NBA" moments after the game had wrapped up.
Barkley added: "He's a good-looking man... his face. I told you, I don't believe in the man bun thing. Listen, don't be hating. That's a pretty man."
After being asked by Kenny Smith to elaborate, Barkley said that he's not going to make the mistake of looking into Strus' eyes and getting lost in them. He also put the Cavs player on the same level as Tom Brady in the looks department.
"Yes, he's in Tom Brady’s class, and he's a better shooter than Tom Brady," Barkley said.
Next up, Detroit and Cleveland go up against each other at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, and if the Cavs win, they'll take the series. Barkley can look forward to watching Strus in that game and, if the Cavs win, more matchups ahead this season.
