You can't just be an NFL franchise casually releasing the next season's schedule anymore. Long gone are the days of a simple website release.
Now we're doing full-on videos.
Nobody knows why that's the rule nowadays, but it's simply the way things are done.
Frankly, the zanier the schedule release is, the better it is received by the fanbase and the NFL zeitgeist as a whole. The Las Vegas Raiders knew that coming into Thursday's schedule release extravaganza, and they went hard on theirs in a video featuring quarterbacks Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins.
The running gag with the Raiders drafting Mendoza No. 1 overall in this past draft, a few weeks after signing Kirk Cousins, was that the franchise, once famous for having the NFL's most feared fanbase, just brought aboard the two most milquetoast quarterbacks ever.
We're talking about the guy who, in his most heated moment in the league, sounded like this. Then there's Mendoza, the Heisman Trophy winner, who became just as well-known for his affable speeches after games as his play on the field.
Both Cousins and Mendoza are the personification of wearing a nice polo tucked into blue jeans, so their "Step Brothers" spoof to announce Vegas' 2026 schedule was golden.

Mendoza and Cousins don't have the comedic chops of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly (aka Brennan and Dale), but they did rock those sweater vests, and the video came complete with a "Did we just become best friends?" moment.
It was a production worthy of Prestige Worldwide, and for that, we thank the Raiders for their service to the NFL fandom during this peak offseason moment.
