Chiefs and Ravens might compete for star wide receivers

With the NFL Draft already in the books and OTAs just around the corner, multiple teams will continue to keep an eye out in free agency.

Some prominent players are still up for grabs for multiple reasons, but it should be just a matter of time before they find a new home.

Considering that, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler pointed to the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens as two teams to keep an eye on in the next couple of weeks.

Both of them could use some help in the wide receiver department, and there just happen to be multiple options that could interest them.

The Chiefs and Ravens may add a pass catcher

"A lot of free agent receivers available. You've got Keenan Allen, you've got Stefon Diggs, you've got Tyreek Hill, and you have a lot of teams that need help," Fowler said on ESPN's SportsCenter, per Julia Stumbaugh of Bleacher Report. "Kansas City Chiefs are a little thin at receiver. Baltimore Ravens a little thin."

Fowler explained that, once teams get a better understanding of what they have in their hands after a couple of practices, they might kick the tires on a big signing:

"So teams are sort of seeing what they have at OTAs and minicamp, if they have enough from their young players, they could go and try to make a move," added Fowler.

The Chiefs lost Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and didn't re-sign Juju Smith-Schuster.

Their wide receiver trio of Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton is good, but it might not be good enough to get back to the mountaintop.

As for the Ravens, they don't seem to have a reliable pass catcher next to Zay Flowers, and that has been their Achilles heel for way too long.

With Todd Monken no longer calling the shots on offense and Derrick Henry not getting any younger, adding another playmaking wide receiver to the mix could be paramount for Jesse Minter's team.
