New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart's rookie season with the franchise was a mixed bag. He was given the go-ahead to start following Russell Wilson's less than stellar early showing, and Dart showed flashes of greatness on the field, but injuries to his offensive line and overall coaching turmoil prevented Dart from realizing his potential.
For the 2025 season, Dart appeared in 14 games, a lot for a rookie, and recorded 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns and five interceptions for a 91.7 passer rating, according to NFL research.
Now, Dart has a new head coach in John Harbaugh and the possibilities are endless. Speaking to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, Dart said something that should make Giants fans smile.
During OTAs, Dart spoke with Garafolo about the difference a year makes, their new coaches in Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and what he sees for the upcoming season.
"Last year was like, for sure, the longest year of my life, just going from one thing to the next," Dart said. "I feel like I've grown a ton as a person, as a leader, as a quarterback."
To hear that Dart says he's grown "a ton" should be music to Giants fans' ears. He already clocked solid numbers in his rookie season, and if he's really grown since then, that means he'll be in a position to take this team to the next level under New York's new leadership.
