Eagles predicted to trade for Maxx Crosby after Myles Garrett blunder

The Los Angeles Rams shook the league to its very core when they traded for superstar pass-rusher Myles Garrett.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is taking his talents to the NFC, thus raising the bar for every other Super Bowl hopeful in the conference.

Notably, that might be especially true for the Philadelphia Eagles, the other team aggressively pursuing the former No. 1 pick.

That's why, according to NFL analyst Bart Scott, general manager Howie Roseman won't stay put, and he expects him to shift his attention toward Maxx Crosby.

Could the Eagles go all-in for Maxx Crosby?

“I’m telling you guys, a big move is coming. Howie Roseman always has a plan,” Scott said on ESPN's "Get Up." “I believe that Howie Roseman is going to take the space that he has — he just saw what happened with Myles Garrett — he’s not going to be one-upped by anybody.”

The Eagles reportedly refused to include Jalen Carter in trade talks for Garrett, which was a deal-breaker for the Browns.

This time, Scott thinks they'll put together a trade centered around Nolan Smith to land the Las Vegas Raiders superstar:

“I think that Maxx Crosby is going to Philadelphia,” continued Scott. “I think that they have the player in Nolan Smith to trade. They can mimic the same trade. The arms race is just beginning.”

The Raiders infamously traded Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round picks, only for the Ravens to back out of the deal at the eleventh hour, citing concerns about his injured knee.

The Browns, on the other hand, got Jared Verse, a first-round pick, a second-round pick and a conditional third-round pick for Garrett.

Whether the Raiders will reconsider moving on from their best player remains to be seen, but Roseman can be quite persuasive when he sets his sights on a player.

And after watching the Rams make the biggest move in recent years, he might be a bit more motivated to get a deal done this time around.
