Knowing he had to deliver, Victor Wembanyama was the driving force of the San Antonio Spurs' Game 3 win on Monday night.
But the 22-year-old wasn't the only Spurs player to step up or even make history as San Antonio took down the New York Knicks inside a rocking Madison Square Garden 115-111.
Joining Wembanyama as a big reason why the Spurs won was 21-year-old Stephon Castle, another young budding star on the Western Conference champions, who recorded his best game of the Finals so far.
Castle scored 23 points on 57.1 percent shooting and also contributed five rebounds, five assists, a block and a steal in 38 minutes. He even made clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
Wembanyama, who joined elite company and put up 32 points, eight boards, six assists, three blocks and two steals of his own, and Castle made NBA Finals history as a duo. They became the first pair of teammates age 22 or younger to ever both score 20 points or more in the same NBA Finals game.

Heading to the free-throw line.
With 6.8 remaining in Game 3.

Castle's performance was his seventh game with at least 20 points during the Spurs' postseason run. For the most part, he's exceeded his regular season production in the playoffs.
Castle averaged 16.7 points in his sophomore NBA season in 2025-26, but has surpassed that metric in all but three playoffs games.
Trying to add an NBA championship ring to the college national championship he won with Connecticut in 2024, Castle, who the Spurs drafted with the No. 4 overall pick months following his NCAA Tournament title run, continues to show why some view the Spurs as a dynasty in the making for reasons that go beyond Wembanyama.
Wembanyama and Castle will have a chance to do it again and even the series on Wednesday, when Game 4 tips off in New York at 8:30 p.m. ET.
