The New York Knicks are riding high on their comeback win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, which saw the team rally from a heaping 29-point deficit to win by a single point in the final 1.2 seconds of the game.
While that 107-106 win was sweet for the Knicks, it's not over yet. Jalen Brunson and the Knicks head to Texas on Saturday to take on Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in what could be the final game to get New York the championship or give the Spurs a lifeline.
Nobody knows what will happen on Saturday. But, we do know that people are interested in the NBA Finals this year, and they're watching.
Ahead of Game 5, the NBA has announced that Game 4 of the NBA Finals was the most-viewed on social media of any game, ever, in the NBA. That's impressive.
The NBA called it, in a post on X, the "most-viral NBA game ever on social media, generating 3 billion views and counting." They added more engagement highlights, including the series generating "8 billion views and counting across social media, the most ever for the NBA Finals," beating the previous record of 6.2 billion views, and NBA-related topics trending No. 1 worldwide on X for eight consecutive hours.
