For years, the Golden State Warriors have been looking for another star to pair with Stephen Curry.
They got one in Jimmy Butler, but his season-ending ACL injury has them right back on the drawing board.
They're reportedly now trying to get their hands on LeBron James, but in the past couple of weeks, rumors have also tied them to Kawhi Leonard.
The Warriors have valuable assets to potentially include in the trade, and as reported by NBA insider Jake Weinbach, they can offer a true king's ransom for the All-Star forward.
"If the Warriors attempt to acquire Kawhi Leonard, a trade package would likely revolve around Jimmy Butler, Brandin Podziemski, the No. 11 overall pick, and future first-round draft capital," Weinbach shared on X. "Golden State is reportedly prepared to pursue the Clippers’ superstar this summer."

Golden State is reportedly prepared to pursue the Clippers’ superstar this summer.
The Clippers are still under investigation for allegedly circumventing the salary cap to pay Leonard under the table, but they haven't shown any interest in moving on from the former Finals MVP.
That said, it would be tough to turn down that offer, given his history of injuries and the fact that they also have the No. 5 pick.
The Clippers could package both picks to trade up in a stacked NBA Draft while moving on from the Leonard drama and setting themselves up for the future.
The Warriors, on the other hand, would be taking a big risk on an injury-prone player entering the back end of his prime, but that's the price to pay for one final championship run in the Curry era.
