AJ Dybantsa can give his sister some cool wheels after going No. 1 overall to Wizards in 2026 NBA Draft

AJ Dybantsa's sister may soon own the sweetest whip in her high school's parking lot.

The Washington Wizards selected BYU Cougars star Dybantsa with pick No. 1 in the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday night. That will make the 19-year-old a rich man.

Per Spotrac co-founder Michael Ginnitti, Dybantsa is slated to sign a four-year, $66.9M deal with the Wizards. He plans to use his first paycheck on new wheels for his sister, Jasmyn, who's in the process of getting her driver's license.

AJ Dybantsa hints he plans to buy his sister a car

"My little sister just got her permit, so if she gets her license sometime, she might get a car. Maybe," he said in a predraft interview with ESPN (h/t Bleacher Report's Scott Polacek).

AJ Dybantsa can purchase almost any car Jasmyn wants after he signs his rookie contract. How about a Porsche 911? Eh, that's too dangerous for a new driver to handle. The standard one produces 388 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 183 mph.

How about something more tame, perhaps a Mini Cooper? But those are always breaking down. AJ Dybantsa doesn't want his sister constantly on the side of the road calling AAA to have someone tow her vehicle to a mechanic.

Whatever car AJ Dybantsa buys, we assume Jasmyn will be rolling in style. Adding the forward should also give the Wizards more pizazz.

He thrived in one season at BYU, averaging 25.5 points per game on 51 percent shooting from the field in 35 contests. For those efforts, he was named a first-team All-American.

The Wizards hope he will provide a jump-start after they went 17-65 last season. If he does, they'll become a much more fun team. But they won't be as much fun as whatever ride Jasmyn Dybantsa could soon be driving.
