Junior Caminero continues home-run barrage as Rays sweep Diamondbacks

Junior Caminero's home-run barrage has been unbelievable. He has now homered in four consecutive games for the first time in his career and leads all third basemen with 22 home runs this season.

The Tampa Bay Rays successfully swept the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 5-1 win on Sunday thanks to Caminero's breakout performance, as he hit .500 (5-for-10) with three home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored in the series.

His electric bat speed of 80 mph sits in the 100th percentile, and he has an average exit velocity of 93.3 mph (95th percentile). On the season, he is boasting a .292 batting average with 22 home runs, 49 RBI and a .932 OPS.

His 22nd home run on the season was crushed at 463 feet deep and is the longest home run he has hit in his career. He has now homered seven times in his last six games, putting up the longest active home-run streak in MLB this season.

Junior Caminero continues to unleash home-run power

In Caminero's last seven games, he has produced a massive 1.231 slugging percentage with a .500 OBP. The Rays superstar has continued to rake and has taken his historic power surge to a whole new level.

If he continues to perform at this level, there's no question that his name will come up in AL MVP conversations. The Rays have won five games in a row (48-33) and Caminero has been a significant part of their recent success.

His 154 wRC+ remains in the top 10 in MLB, adding to his impressive offensive profile and showcasing how he's able to remain competitive with other elite hitters. At just 22 years old, he's become a franchise-changing talent with solid plate discipline (13.1% walk-rate, 88th percentile).
