The U.S. men's national soccer team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, July 1, in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the match has been the availability of AC Milan star Christian Pulisic, who is still recovering from a nagging calf injury that has limited his playing time throughout the tournament.
The 27-year-old addressed the media during Tuesday’s training session ahead of the match and shared an update on his physical condition.
According to the player himself, the USMNT captain is ready to play.
"I felt great in the game, the last game against Türkiye," Pulisic said, via AS. "So I’m feeling good this week, and yeah, I’m definitely ready to go."
Pulisic also made it clear that the team as a whole is prepared for the matchup, adding that he believes Mauricio Pochettino’s side has lived up to expectations throughout this World Cup.
"We’re ready for this moment," he said. "I think we’ve had some good performances this World Cup, and having that experience last time definitely can allow us to go into this with a little bit clearer mind, and just more prepared for sure."
Pulisic featured in Team USA's 4-1 victory over Paraguay on June 12, recording one assist. He returned to action on June 25 in the loss to Türkiye, playing 32 minutes.
Although he has not made the impact many initially anticipated, expectations remain high for the USMNT captain and No. 10, especially after he enjoyed a highly successful season in Italy’s Serie A.
