The Boston Celtics recently sent Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in a bombshell blockbuster.
While Brown was seemingly on the trade block, not many people saw this particular move coming, and definitely not him.
True to form, the outspoken guard/forward hasn't kept his thoughts to himself, and it seems that he'll have plenty to say while he processes all this saga.
In a recent streaming session with YouTuber IShowSpeed, Brown turned some heads with his comments about his former team.
“I just got traded,” Brown told the streamer (h/t Bleacher Report). “They packed me up, bro. It’s a crazy business, bro. Don’t become a basketball player. There’s no loyalty … They packed me up. Sayonara. I’m out of here.”
Ironically, this might've been a perfect example to explain why the Celtics may have felt it was time to part ways with him.
Reports state that Brown's latest streaming sessions have ruffled some feathers within the organization, starting with Jayson Tatum's camp.
Brown played without Tatum for most of the season, and he started his own (unsuccessful) MVP campaign. He also claimed this had been his favorite season, even though the Celtics blew a 3-1 playoff lead and didn't make the NBA Finals.
Brown is a great player, and it does feel the Celtics did him wrong, not by sending him to a fellow championship contender but by trading him for pennies on the dollar.
That said, they fielded offers for days, so the fact that this was the best return they could get speaks volumes about the way he's perceived around the league.
