The AL MVP favorite and Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez has been unstoppable against the Texas Rangers, as he has crushed eight home runs against them this season.
Alvarez hit a two-run shot in the top of the first inning on Saturday, which was his 31st home run of the season. Alvarez has been a nightmare matchup against the Rangers, who surely are tired of facing the 29-year-old superstar this season.
Alvarez also made history on Friday, recording two milestones with just one swing, hitting his 30th home run of the season while also recording his career 300th home run.
In his career against the Rangers, Alvarez has logged a .308 batting average with 84 hits, 27 bombs, 59 RBI and 52 runs scored across 75 games. But his career postseason stats against them have him boasting an incredible .481 batting average with 13 hits, 9 RBI and five runs scored across just seven games.

Alvarez has seamlessly been a dominant threat against the Rangers on account of his proficiency with crushing pitches at the bottom and outside of the strike zone.
In addition, he has steered clear of running into bad pitch counts, and his solid plate discipline and patience have provided him with explosive offense, making him one of the best hitters in MLB this season.
Alvarez has recorded a high fly-ball rate (40-49%) while showcasing a knack for hitting fastballs and breaking balls effectively. The sky has been the limit for Alvarez, who has logged an impressive .315 batting average with 70 RBI and an incredible 1.055 OPS this season
